A Fine Time at Cirino's-at-Main Street, Grass Valley, CA

Sicilian Pork Rostini With Orange Thyme Sauce
Anita and I had the occasion recently to eat at Cirino's at Main Street in Grass Valley, CA. We ate in the bar area; which is our favorite because it is always lively. On this occasion, we had a window seat and could watch the people passing by on the street. Cirino's specializes in Italian and Mediterranean food which are definitely high on our hit parade, so we frequent the place fairly often.

We started with one of their famous Bloody Mary's served with a beer back. Very nice and a good precursor to a nice glass of red wine with our meal. The mix is available for sale if one would like to mix them at home.

I had the Sicilian Pork Rostini with Orange Thyme Sauce. It was a large cut of meat and came with skewered grilled vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. All in all a very large and tasty meal.

Anita had the Calamari Plate which was made from calamari steaks rather than the smaller tubes and tentacles. It was tasty and filling for her.

It was a very pleasant time which we will repeat soon. If you find yourself in Grass Valley one evening, drop in and enjoy the atmosphere and food with the beverages of your choice.

Bon appetit.
