"Pumpkinadas"

Pumpkin flavored snacks.
Our grandson, Simon, (age 10, loves to cook and originate his own ideas) created these tasty morsels. Since it's fall and everyone has their taste buds set for pumpkin, we bought the ingredients and his idea was to make this dessert. I said "they look like empenadas" hence the name, "pumpkinadas." They were delicious and easy to make.

MAKES:                   16 Pumpkinadas

PREP TIME:           15 minutes
COOKING TIME:  about 15 minutes until browned

INGREDIENTS:

1 can Pillsbury Honey Butter Biscuits
1/2 can pumpkin pie mix
2 T butter, melted
1 t pumpkin pie spice
1/3 C granulated sugar

PREPARATION:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
2. Separate dough in half, creating 16 pieces
3. Brush on melted butter
4. Spread pumpkin pie mix over each piece
5. In a small bowl, mix the pumpkin pie spice and sugar then sprinkle on each piece
6. Fold each piece over using a small fork to press the edges to seal. Then sprinkle with remaining sugar and spice mixture.
7. Place in the oven on a baking sheet if you have one or a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake about 15 minutes until golden brown.

PLATING:

Arrange on a plate and enjoy with milk, tea or coffee! They are a great fall treat!

Bon Appetit,

Anita and Tom
