Here it is folks........For those of you who are considering the Paleolithic Diet but aren't yet committed...try this!
Tom and I love big, fat juicy hamburgers! We toast delicious, fresh baked jalapeno cheddar buns and Tom sautes the burgers in a cast iron skillet...sometimes we'll cook them on the grill as well. Trying to cut down on the carbs, this time we decided to each take half of the bun and eat our hamburger open faced. As you can see, Tom likes his with mustard, a big slice of red onion, the burger, then a big slice of heirloom tomato with the pickles on the side.
Now for my hamburger.....
I like a mixture of ketchup and mayo on the bottom then cucumbers (I know, that's weird but they taste so good), then the burger with a slice of tomato and pickles on the top.
We actually crave this meal every now and then. Simple, but delicious.
